We are standing on the crossroads where the technology is developing immensely and rapidly. Soon the robots will take up all repetitive and mundane jobs. World will not be the same as it looks like today. 

Are our kids ready for the future? Are we doing enough to armor them to face the challenges of tomorrow? Robotics is the fastest developing technology. 

In 2014, BCG (Boston Consulting Group), projected that the global market for Robotics would reach $67 billion by 2025. In 2017, they have revised their estimation sharply upwards to $87 billion by 2025 – mostly because of soaring customer demands.

Experts see robots playing a significant role in children’s emotional, social and cognitive development in the near future. Children not only gain confidence, but also it is empowering and profound experience for them, when they see the machine they have made, working.

BotLab, is an institute that delivers education in Robotics and Automation with the vision of making children future ready for new opportunities and to stand against threats posed by rapid technical development in the field of automation.

Robotics and Automation – History and a Step Ahead

Industrial robots have come a long way today. They are used in every aspect of life possible – right from manufacturing the car to creating the human organs. Let’s go into origin of robotics. History of Robot Leonardo da Vinci was the first person who conceptualized the idea of a robot. He designed the first self-propelled wagon, which was powered by clockwork springs. He also created a drawing of the earliest recorded humanoid, his knight in armor. This early robot could in theory perform several movements including sitting and waving. It is unknown, if this humanoid was ever created.
